Freeze and Forget . . . Kiss fat goodbye with a touch of 2022 cool

January 17, 2022

Ice-cold temperatures on the outside to freeze fat on the inside! FDA-approved CoolSculpting is reducing fat cells – successfully – the cool way.

Why treat stubborn fat areas – love handles, jelly bellies, muffin tops, and batwings – with this non-invasive treatment instead of cutting back on the Xmas mince pies and upping the exercise? Because, unfortunately, changes to diet and exercise are not enough to cut the mustard – or fat.

Here’s why. . .

Our fat cells aren’t created equal.Stubborn fat in areas like the thighs, stomach and hips has a higher density of alpha receptors – cells that are harder to shift. So, whilst pumping weights may be sending the right messages to your cells via hormones to release triglycerol, your fat receptors aren’t responding to the call.

However, destroying fat cells from the outside in, is going to make a change.

“Fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than surrounding tissues,” explains Adam Bialostocki, Da Vinci Plastic Surgery Clinic’s plastic and cosmetic surgeon. “And CoolSculpting delivers precisely controlled – and safer – cooling to targeted fat cells beneath the skin. The cells are crystallised and die, and are naturally eliminated from your body over time.”

Complications arising from CoolSculpting procedures are minimal too. In an analysis conducted by the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, only 12 out of 1,445 people – less than 1% – reported complications following CoolSculpting procedures. With the most common complication being less sensation than before treatment in the treated area.

Time spent on the chair is also at minimum because of CoolSculpting CoolAdvantage applicators’ greater efficiency, ease and increased comfort.

“For example, using the CoolCurve – which targets larger areas on the abdomen – one freezing session may only take 45minutes,” explains Adam. “And returning to normal day-to-day activities following treatment isn’t an issue because it’s a non-surgical procedure, with minimal side effects.”

For many patients a 25% reduction in fat is not out of reach. A 2015 review of 19 CoolSculpting studies published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal, found people lost an average of 14.67 to 28.5% of the fat in areas treated by cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting).

Also at the fore of CoolSculpting Advantage technology is its application diversity – there is an applicator designed specifically for all body areas.

From CoolMax – the largest applicator which is best for the lower and upper abdomen, to CoolFit – the longer length applicator with greater grab for treating bat wings and inner thighs, to the CoolMini – the smallest of applicators which is ideal for double chin fat reduction.

“Our most popular applicator is the CoolCore, contouring the waist and sides of body, and is ideal for sculpting the hips and bikini areas too,” explains Adam. “We want each of our clients to achieve the best results possible with CoolSculpting, so tailoring an individual body plan – with all aspects of time and budget included – is vital to success and long-term satisfaction.”

Results are also in keeping with the body’s natural silhouette and form.

Unlike liposuction, which can result in misshapen bulges or even scarring, CoolSculpting yields long-term results gradually. Depending on the treatment area and density of fat, changes can be seen within weeks or a few months.

“Some patients begin to see results in as little as three weeks after their first treatment, however many experience the most dramatic changes after two months,” explains Adam. “The body will continue to flush out fat cells for up to four-to-six months post-treatment.”

So, before shelving your fat loss dreams, it may be time to consider a long-term solution minus the pain and your precious time. If those natural results are not naturally occurring, enlisting the help of a cooling hand may just be the winning ticket.
