Body goals for 2026? It’s all about an individual approach and knowing your options . . .

February 14, 2026

Many of us are likely to fall off the New Year’s resolution bandwagon, unless we have an ‘approach-oriented’ goal, according to a large-scale experiment on New Year’s resolutions. Which is why making 2026 your year to achieve specific body and face goals – a tighter tum, improved skin elasticity, reduced fine lines – is your ticket to feeling good and looking great.

So why do our beginning of the year ambitions lose momentum as the months drift by? Well according to Swedish researchers, too many of us channel avoidance-oriented goals than approach-oriented goals. In their large-scale study, those who had approach-oriented New Year’s resolutions, 58.9% considered themselves successful, compared to 47.1% who set avoidance-oriented resolutions. (Physical health and weight loss accounted for 53% of the most popular New Year resolutions). Approach-oriented versus avoidance-oriented could be setting yourself a goal to eat more fruit every day to set yourself on a healthy weight loss path, instead of vowing to cut out sweets altogether.

This is good news when it comes to achieving those aesthetically attuned face and body goals, because less is often more. In the facial rejuvenation department, focus on the areas or issues troubling you the most: fine lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity, a double chin and lack of jaw definition, under eye bags?

Next step is to book in a consultation with one of our cosmetic nurses or reconstructive plastic surgeons who will provide a comprehensive assessment of your skin and facial anatomy and tailor a treatment plan specific to your goals. For example, for sagging skin and mild-to-moderate laxity, a non-invasive Sofwave treatment gifts lift and tightening to the face and neck, restoring collagen and elastin.

To improve the appearance of acne scarring and melasma, and remedy skin tone and texture, an alpha-hydroxy acid facial peel, which engages trichloroacetic acid, aims to remove dead skin cells, stimulate new cell growth and combat accumulated sun exposure.

For puffy eyes or undereye bags, a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon may suggest an upper or lower blepharoplasty. Upper lid surgery removes sagging skin, and excess fatty tissue and muscle, and gently lifts, whilst a lower lid blepharoplasty removes and repositions the fat and skin beneath the eyes.

As for body contouring, there are both surgical and non-invasive options to achieve those goals. Liposuction to permanently remove those stubborn areas of fat – the tummy, hips, thighs. Ora combination of procedures, like liposuction and abdominoplasty, to address unwanted fat, rid excess skin, repair stretched muscles and sculpt the mid-region.

Renuvion, a minimally invasive procedure that engages radiofrequency energy (RF) and helium plasma technology, remedies skin laxity by tightening skin tissues and improving elasticity. When performed in conjunction with liposuction, Renuvion aims to refine and give greater shape to the tummy area. And, when performed alongside abdominoplasty, Renuvion gifts greater contour and elasticity.

New Year resolution or not, body confidence is something we all deserve and you have options when seeking treatments. Whatever your goals face and body wide, we can help you achieve them.
