Mr Adam Bialostocki

Mr. Bialostocki is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, with a Fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He is New Zealand-trained and thoroughly knowledgeable in the newest, safest, & latest techniques available worldwide. His warm and respectful way with patients is well known, many coming to see him from the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions, as well as the rest of New Zealand, throughout the Pacific and abroad. He consults and performs minor procedures at Da Vinci Clinic and more significant operations at Tauranga’s Grace Hospital. Ensuring his patients receive excellent care and achievable, long-lasting results are of utmost importance to Mr Bialostocki. Dr Amy Stanway
Dermatologist MBChB FRACP

Dr Stanway is an experienced Dermatologist with a special interest in skin cancer work and rashes. She provides full skin checks and treatment of any suspicious skin lesions, particularly focusing on early detection of melanoma.  She specialises in the management of common but difficult inflammatory dermatoses such as childhood and adult eczema, psoriasis, acne and allergies. She also has great experience in the management of less common skin, hair, nail, and genital disorders. Her desire to help people with distressing skin diseases achieve control of their condition and get back to a normal life, sees Dr Stanway work with people of all ages suffering from skin disease. Dr Stanway has practised in the Bay of Plenty since 2006. She graduated from the University of Otago in 1997. She then worked at Rotorua Hospital and Waikato Hospital in a wide range of Medical and Surgical specialities, including Dermatology,

Dr Nicola Abbott hails from the Bay of Plenty and her special interest in skin stems from a strong family history of dermatitis, and the rewarding nature of working in the dermatology field.

Paediatric dermatology, skin cancer and surgery, rashes and hair and nail diseases are all areas of dermatology Dr Abbott specialises in. Improving the quality of life for her patients – children, teenagers and adults alike – is what makes her role so much the greater. Treating a variety of skin conditions – those that are chronic and spread across all age groups – makes for a fulfilling role.

With family ties to eczema, a keen interest in all things dermatological and a passion to help patients across all age groups, Dr Nicola Abbott returned home to Tauranga after years spent training and working overseas.

Plastic Surgeon MBChB FRACS (Plastics)

Mr Adams is the newest specialist to join our team. In addition to the two days each week he is available for private patients at the Da Vinci Clinic, he is a consultant Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon at Waikato DHB and a visiting Plastic Surgeon at Tauranga Hospital. Mr Adams’ patients are his first priority and he believes that surgery is a partnership between patient and doctor. Rest assured, he will always strive for the very best result for you. Mr Adams completed his full Plastic and Reconstructive surgery training inNew Zealand and was awarded FRACS(Plastics) from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. In 2012, he was awarded the ASAPS Advanced Aesthetic Fellowship and undertook a six month fellowship (apprenticeship) in Cosmetic Surgery at the prestigious New Zealand Institute of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery.  During his fellowship, Brandon gained invaluable knowledge about all aspects of cosmetic surgery.


Dr Justin
Anaesthetists MBChB FANZCA

Dr Justin Imrie is the primary specialist anaesthetist for the Da Vinci Clinic.
 He graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1991 and obtained his Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2003.  Most of his anaesthesia training was in Wellington Hospital, but he also completed an extra year of plastic surgery anaesthesia at Hutt Hospital.  Other subspecialty interests include paediatric and vascular anaesthesia. Dr Imrie has been employed as a consultant anaesthetist at Tauranga Public Hospital since 2003.  He has always been involved in teaching and for two years held the title of Supervisor of Training for the Tauranga anaesthetic registrars.  Dr Imrie relinquished this position to become Head of the Bay of Plenty Anaesthetic Department, which he also held for two years. Practice Manager

In her role of coordinating management, administration, nursing and patients, Suzanne says she feels privileged to work for a clinic that provides such a comprehensive range of specialist care to resident’s of the Bay of Plenty and beyond. She oversees the running of the clinic to the highest of standards and is delighted to be part of the team that provides a professional and discreet service to the community. An integral member of the team, Suzanne is crucial to the smooth running of the business and is immensely dedicated to the well being and comfort of both patients and other staff members. With a keen business brain, style and warmth, she personifies what it is the clinic strives to achieve. Suzanne’s charities of passion are the Waipuna Hospice where she helps with the bi-annual fund raising calendar and the Tauranga Wine and Food Festival. Through her work at the Da Vinci Clinic she has become more aware of the lack of knowledge and support available for breast cancer and melanoma sufferers and enjoys contributing in any way she can, along with the rest of the team at the clinic.

Charge Theatre and Clinic Nurse

British born and trained Angela has many years of plastic surgical experience in both private and public plastic surgical hospitals in the UK and more recently in New Zealand private surgical hospitals. With experience in day stay and short stay surgery, as well as having worked at Tauranga’s Grace Private Hospital, Angela has been placed in charge of the Da Vinci Clinic theatre and assists Mr Bialostocki with surgery performed here. She also performs simple and complex wound care, punch biopsies and tissue expansion. Having moved to New Zealand with her family in 2007, Angela loves the lifestyle offered by the Bay of Plenty region and enjoys an active social life.

Theatre Nurse

Another invaluable member of our team, Christine, moves between the Da Vinci Clinic and Grace Private Hospital, so depending on what procedure you have had, you may see her in both premises. Her warm and friendly manner makes Christine a popular nurse and teamed with her invaluable experience, she brings another dimension to our valuable team. As a registered nurse, Christine has over 20 years of theatre nursing experience, three of which she spent abroad in London's Harley Street Clinic and Harefield Hospital. Christine is a senior theatre nurse at Tauranga's Grace Private Hospital, applying skills and knowledge in specialties including plastic and cosmetic surgery with Mr Bialostocki. She is also involved in general, gynaecology, some ENT and orthopaedic procedures. When she is at the Da Vinci Clinic she assists Mr Bialostocki with surgery performed under local anaesthetic, pre and post operative reviews. Christine thrives on outdoor activities, many of which she shares with her three young sons on their Bay of Plenty lifestyle block.

Meet Nicky, another one of valued team members. Nicky assists both Mr Bialostocki and Dr Stanway and this involves wound care, biopsies, assisting in theatre for surgeries as well as pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.  Nicky trained at Waikato Hospital and moved over to the Bay of Plenty in 2009. She spends most of her week at the Da Vinci Clinic but also some time at Grace Private Hospital and enjoys the diversity this offers her. Prior to joining us Nicky spent six years at Grace in Day Stay, Ward and Theatre. With a wealth of surgical nursing experience and a calm, friendly manner with patients, Nicky is an integral part of the smooth running of our practice. She enjoys living here in the Bay and in her spare time enjoys the outdoor environment and spending time with family and friends.

Plastics Nurse

Nicola is one of our dermatology nurses and works alongside Plastic Surgeon, Mr Brandon Adams. She has worked in the dermatology field for around 15 years and therefore brings invaluable experience to our clinic - her empathy and understanding are excellent and her knowledge in this field, extensive. Over the years, Nicola has used her nursing skills in a variety of settings, including hospitals, as a Practice Nurse for a General Practitioner and in an educational role with Johnston and Johnston. She has experience with lasers, IPL, Fraxel, facial peels and appearance medicine treatments. Nicola is a keen runner - she completed the New York Marathon, the Greenland Polar Marathon - the proceeds of which went to the Arthritis Foundation - and has also completed a marathon in Everest, Nepal. Nicola is an ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation.. 



Erin loves meeting new people. Her empathetic nature and strong communication skills make Erin a great fit for her role on reception. She will be one of your first points of contact with our clinic and you can count on her professionalism and integrity. She has had a varied career involving press photography, media liaison, and various administration roles, most recently with the Tauranga Hospital. Erin is passionate about health, design and innovation. She enjoys cooking, keeping fit and spending time with her family and friends.


Jenny does a wonderful job on reception and is more than likely the person you will speak to first at our clinic. Along with greeting people and scheduling appointments with our medical team, Jenny ensures you have the information you require. She is particularly helpful and organised. With many years assisting her husband in their own business, Jenny has experience in accounting too. She enjoys golf, both mountain and road biking and sports in general. 


Our third receptionist is Julie, who brings with her many years of experience in local healthcare, including work with Breast Cancer Support Services. She has worked in General Surgery and Plastics as a scheduler at Tauranga Public Hospital, working closely with the Da Vinci Clinic, so her transition to our team has been seamless. Julie loves to keep fit by cycling and tramping and is keen to tick off each of New Zealand’s Great Walks.
